How To Boldly Step Into Your Calling + The 5 Things to Expect When You Do!
What a massive long weekend we just had!
Full packed full of spending quality time with the loved ones as well as serving in the ministry. What stood out for me... and most specifically was that i was able to step out boldly unto my calling.
I've been feeling so excited, inspired and fulfilled as i walk in my calling but i feel this has been a pivotal moment for me - truly a redirecting and repositioning towards His call upon my life. This is where i had to boldly confess and make room for what God has convicted and has planted in my heart for many years...
It has also been the hardest, most challenging, most difficult moment that i have had to face in a long time... For many months... even close to a year... i have been praying and seeking God for His direction towards my God-given calling.
And here the time has come....
A bold confession, an act of surrender and a new level of faith filled step towards where God is leading me.
I spoke it out loud and clear.
(My Beautiful Ministry Partner and Sister in Christ, Jessica leading a prayer of blessing over me as i continue to follow God's calling. So blessed to have such support, surrounded by these amazing women of God)
Thank you my beautiful SHE Family who have prayed for me and have supported me in my faith journey. Truly it has been divine. Spear-heading and founding SHE has been one of my greatest joys together with our leaders and volunteers. I believe this is truly working from a place of OVERFLOW! Let's continue to encourage one another in living our most authentic life.... walking in our own unique calling as we grow to be the women God has called us to be.
(The beautiful women of SHE Movement! So proud of what God is doing in this Ministry!)
Stepping out into your calling can be overwhelming but you know that God will always be there to lead you and guide you every step of the way.
Here's some things to expect as you step boldly into your God-given calling:
1) NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO UNDERSTAND.
It is God's calling upon your life. Not everyone is going to understand why you're doing what you're doing. They also won't understand when you make decisions that they might not agree with.
Just relax, and remember that this is OK! Not everyone will understand. It's not your job to get everyone to agree with what you're doing. It is your job to follow what it is that God has called you to do.
2) IT IS YOUR PERSONAL CONVICTION AND CALLING
Be confident that you have been called out for a specific ministry. God has but the desire in your heart and has given you that conviction. Know that it is specific to you and only you'll know when you're ready to take the step - This might even mean taking a LEAP rather than a step! A big massive step!
3) SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO LET GO OF THINGS THAT
TAKE YOUR TIME AWAY FROM YOUR CALLING. STAY FOCUSED.
Let go of the things that distract you and take you away from what it is that you have been called to do. This might mean having to say no to good things (opportunities and open doors) .... to make room for greater things (God sized massive opportunities and bigger doors!)
Getting rid of things that weigh you down instead of inspiring you towards your calling. Perhaps you're in a position where you're not using your gifts and talents to their full potential? You're not being stretched and challenged anymore? then it's time to move on! This Open's doors to places where you can sharpen your gifts and talents and GROW as you walk in our calling.
4) GOD REJOICES WITH YOU WHEN YOU USE YOUR GIFTS TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.
Just like our muscles... if we want to strengthen our physical muscles, then we need to work out right? Same thing with our gifts and talents, our skills and abilities!
Always allow yourself to be in a place where you are stretched and challenged to grow. This is the place where you'll learn so much more about your capacity and what God can really do through you!
Stretch your tent! Get out of your comfort zone and start exploring!
Meet new people and expose yourself to new processes, new ways of thinking, new crowds and new possibilities!
5) YOUR CONFIDENCE COMES FROM HIM.
Stepping into your calling takes a lot of guts! It takes courage and full trust in Him. Yes there will be times we will have doubts, fears and insecurities, but always be rest assured that we have our confidence in Him.
WHY? Because God has instilled the Calling within us. He has given us a glimps of what's to come. He has shown us a Vision of what He has for our life. It came from Him. I believe He supplies all that we need for that good work that He has called us to do. As someone once told me "He gives you provision for the Vision"
"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
A new faith filled journey awaits....
Take it one step at a time as God shows you the way.
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way." Psalm 37:23
